MRC de L’Assomption, December 11, 2023
The year 2023 has proven to be a test of resilience for Quebec farmers, who not only faced a shortage of labor but also had to confront devastating floods, leading to diseases, yield losses, and significant financial setbacks. In this context, the Zone Agtech announces the opening of registrations for the Quebec Agtech Grand Colloquium, the flagship annual event of the Quebec Agtech ecosystem.
At the heart of the Quebec agricultural transition, the Zone Agtech brings together a major ecosystem comprising 250 producers, agricultural representatives, developers of innovative solutions, educational and research institutions, major industrial players, and financing organizations. Its mission is to stimulate development and accelerate innovation to address current challenges such as adaptation to climate change, reducing environmental impact, and food self-sufficiency.

This event, already described as « one of the most interesting of the year » by several industry players, is much more than just a meeting. Every year, it brings together over 200 companies involved in developing solutions and technologies for more efficient, profitable and green agriculture. The 2024 edition, held for the first time in Repentigny, will welcome up to 280 people. The program includes conferences and panels on agricultural challenges, climate adaptation, environmental performance and vertical farming, the first-ever 100% Quebec Agtech X experimentation space, which will enable producers to test the latest Quebec agricultural technologies, and the Grands Prix Agtech du Québec cocktail, which will highlight the major contribution of 4 Quebec players to the development of the Quebec agtech industry.
The Quebec Agtech Grand Colloquium, Agtech X, and the Quebec Agtech Innovation Awards provide unique opportunities for stakeholders in the agricultural sector to learn, collaborate, and contribute to the advancement of sustainable agriculture in Quebec and beyond. Do not miss this opportunity to be part of the agricultural transition towards a more promising future !

Presented by Noovelia and in collaboration with five provincial horticultural associations, Agtech X offers Quebec growers the opportunity to experiment with over 30 innovative agricultural technologies in a room adjacent to the Grand Colloque conferences. This will encourage exchanges between growers and local businesses, stimulating profitability, resilience, and the transition to agricultural practices adapted to the current context.
